Olio

This is a long overdue update to the Olio pages. I'll try to do better in the future.

This page created January 26, 2006

Our bird feeder attracts many birds when the weather gets bad. This male cardinal looks very cold as he waits for his chance to get some sunflower seeds.

This was a colorful fall season here though the leaves didn't last long. This maple tree is always a spectacular fall sight when the morning sun hits it right.
I was baffled when I first saw this. I wasn't even sure if it was a bird or an insect. Turns out it is a Hummingbird Moth. It moves very fast and never is still. I took about 50 shots to get one halfway good image.

This January Jan and I took a trip to Florida to rediscover the sun. While there we went to Busch Gardens and took a lot of great pictures. This tiger was not sure it wanted it's picture taken.
Also in Florida we went to The Corkscrew Swamp Preserve. A wonderful place for wildlife photography. One of the first things we saw was this Red Shouldered Hawk posing so nicely along the path.
